He’s my unsung hero because I’ve relied on him so much during COVID. We have a coffee and a chat when he brings shopping from Waitrose. It was such a big thing the shopping. I used to look after the bins for him on collection day, and now he looks after mine. I used to look after his cat a ginger Tom called Harry Potter. When he was away I would go in and draw the curtains. We both like sports. He’s like a son actually. Now he’ll be moving away.

Kevin works as a paramedic which means he is already a hero. But he also loves nature and the natural environment and is on a mission. He spends the winter months planting trees and native hedges. Not only does he plant them, he grows them from foraged seeds and applies for donations. He must have planted 100s if not 1000s. Kev is one of those people that just makes the world a better place for everyone else.
